Le 1er juin 2010, l'OMPI a mis en service WIPO GOLD, source de références mondiale en matière de propriété intellectuelle, gratuite et en ligne, qui permet d'accéder rapidement et facilement à une vaste collection de données de propriété intellectuelle pouvant donner lieu à des recherches et d'instruments en rapport avec, par exemple, la technologie, les marques, les dessins et modèles industriels, les statistiques, les normes de l'OMPI, les systèmes de classement en matière de propriété intellectuelle ainsi que les lois et traités de propriété intellectuelle.
1 июня 2010 г. ВОИС запустила WIPO GOLD – бесплатный онлайновый глобальный справочный ресурс по интеллектуальной собственности (ИС), который предоставляет быстрый и легкий доступ к обширной коллекции пригодных для поиска данных и инструментов в области ИС, относящихся, например, к технологии, брэндам, образцам, статистике, стандартам ВОИС, системам классификации в области ИС, а также законам и договорам в этой области.
انضمت إسرائيل إلى نظام العلامات التجارية الدولي بعد أن أودعت هذا الأسبوع لدى المدير العام للويبو السيد فرانسس غري وثيقة انضمامها لبروتوكول مدريد بشأن التسجيل الدولي للعلامات. ويتيح نظام مدريد الذي سيبدأ العمل به في إسرائيل في 1 سبتمبر 2010 لأصحاب العلامات التجارية وسيلة فعالة من حيث التكلفة وميسرة ومبسطة لحماية محفظة علاماتهم التجارية وإدارتها على الصعيد الدولي.
Israel joined the international trademark system following the deposit of its instrument of accession to the Madrid Protocol for the International Registration of Marks with WIPO Director General Francis Gurry this week. The Madrid System, which will become operational in Israel on September 1, 2010, offers trademark owners a cost-effective, user-friendly and streamlined means of protecting and managing their trademark portfolio internationally.
Esta semana, tras el depósito ante el Director General, Sr. Francis Gurry, de su instrumento de adhesión al Protocolo concerniente al Arreglo de Madrid relativo al Registro Internacional de Marcas de la OMPI, Israel se sumó al sistema internacional de marcas.
Israël a adhéré au système international des marques après avoir déposé cette semaine auprès du directeur général de l'OMPI, M. Francis Gurry, son instrument d'adhésion au Protocole de Madrid concernant l'enregistrement international des marques. Le système de Madrid, qui entrera en vigueur en Israël le 1er septembre 2010, est pour les propriétaires de marques un moyen rentable, convivial et rationnel de protéger et de gérer leur portefeuille de marques à l'échelle internationale.

An on-line forum to promote an exchange of ideas and to build consensus on international measures to improve access to copyright-protected works in formats suitable for visually impaired persons and others with print disabilities (VIPs) was launched by WIPO this week. The Forum, (www.visionip.org/forum), which will remain open at least until June 20, 2010, is designed to stimulate debate, enhance understanding, and broaden awareness of the question.
Esta semana, la OMPI ha inaugurado un foro en Internet para fomentar el intercambio de ideas y forjar el consenso sobre medidas internacionales destinadas a mejorar el acceso a obras protegidas por derecho de autor en formatos adaptados a personas con discapacidad visual y personas con dificultades para leer. El foro (www.visionip.org/forum), que estará en funcionamiento hasta el 20 de junio como mínimo, tiene por objeto generar el debate, mejorar el conocimiento y ampliar la conciencia de la importancia de esta cuestión.
Cette semaine, l'OMPI a mis en place un forum en ligne afin de promouvoir un échange d'idées et de parvenir à un consensus sur les mesures à prendre, au niveau international, pour améliorer l'accès aux œuvres protégées par le droit d'auteur dans des formats adaptés aux déficients visuels et autres personnes ayant des difficultés de lecture. Ce forum (www.visionip.org/forum), qui fonctionnera jusqu'au 20 juin 2010 au moins, est conçu pour encourager les débats, améliorer la compréhension et sensibiliser davantage à cette question.

بمناسبة اليوم الدولي للتنوع البيولوجي الموافق 22 مايو، شدد المدير العام للويبو، السيد فرانسس غري، على التزام المنظمة بالعمل لضمان أن يضطلع نظام الملكية الفكرية بدور إيجابي في الحفاظ على التنوع البيولوجي، واستخدام عناصره بشكل مستدام واقتسام المنافع الناجمة عن الانتفاع بالموارد الوراثية.
On the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) on May 22, WIPO Director General Francis Gurry underlined the Organization's commitment to ensuring that the intellectual property system plays a positive role in safeguarding biodiversity, the sustainable use of its components and the sharing of benefits arising from the use of genetic resources.
Con motivo del Día Internacional de la Diversidad Biológica, celebrado el 22 de mayo, el Director General de la OMPI, Sr. Francis Gurry, señaló que la OMPI velará por que el sistema de propiedad intelectual desempeñe un activo papel en la protección de la biodiversidad, el aprovechamiento sostenible de sus componentes y el reparto de los beneficios que se derivan de la utilización de los recursos genéticos.
À l'occasion de la Journée internationale de la diversité biologique le 22 mai, le directeur général de l'OMPI, M.
