Ce manga est le résultat du concours du manga authentique qui s'est tenu au Japon du 3 août au 15 octobre 2010. Ce concours a été organisé par le Bureau de l'Organisation Mondiale de la Propriété Intellectuelle (OMPI) au Japon et coparrainé par le Ministère des affaires étrangères du Japon et l'Office des brevets du Japon, avec le soutien de Kadokawa Group Publishing. L'objectif de ce concours était de trouver un ou une artiste japonais chargé de créer un manga destiné à sensibiliser le public aux risques que présentent les produits de contrefaçon pour la santé et la sécurité.
