Créé par l'Assemblée générale de l'Organisation Mondiale de la Propriété Intellectuelle (OMPI) en octobre 2007, le Comité du développement et de la propriété intellectuelle (CDIP)a tenu sa première session du 3 au 7 mars 2008 et a fait avancer ses débats sur la mise en œuvre du Plan d'action de l'OMPI pour le développement (on trouvera ci dessous le résumé du président). Lors de cette session, à laquelle ont assisté 100 États membres, sept organisations intergouvernementales et 30 organisations non gouvernementales, le CDIP a adopté son règlement intérieur et examiné en détail l'élaboration d'un programme de travail pour la mise en œuvre des recommandations approuvées par l'Assemblée générale.
Комитет по развитию и интеллектуальной собственности (КРИС), учрежденный Генеральной Ассамблеей Всемирной организации интеллектуальной собственности (ВОИС) в октябре 2007 г., провел первую сессию 3-7 марта 2008 г. и продвинул обсуждения по реализации Повестки дня ВОИС в области развития (резюме Председателя приводится ниже). Сессия, в работе которой приняли участие 100 государств-членов, 7 межправительственных и 30 неправительственных организаций, приняла правила процедуры КРИС, а также провела подробные обсуждения по вопросам разработки программы работы по реализации рекомендаций, одобренных Генеральной Ассамблеей.

The fourth in a series of public symposia on intellectual property as it relates to the life sciences will take place on April 7 and 8, 2008 at the Geneva headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and will address how patent landscaping may be used within the life sciences for public policy purposes. The event is taking place within the context of a cooperation program between the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and WIPO on patent landscaping for policy makers.

Le quatrième colloque public d'une série consacrée à la propriété intellectuelle relative aux sciences de la vie se tiendra les 7 et 8 avril 2008 au siège de l'Organisation Mondiale de la Propriété Intellectuelle (OMPI) à Genève; il portera sur l'emploi de cartographies des brevets dans le domaine des sciences de la vie aux fins des politiques publiques. La rencontre est organisée dans le cadre d'un programme de coopération entre l'Organisation des Nations Unies pour l'alimentation et l'agriculture (FAO) et l'OMPI qui porte sur la cartographie des brevets à l'intention des décideurs.
