12.7.4 Types of infringement actions Infringement actions can be filed individually, limiting the specific exercise of one of them, if that is considered sufficient to protect the plaintiff’s rights. But they can also be joined together, so as to bring simultaneously as many actions as considered necessary to protect patent rights most effectively. Plaintiffs are free to take either approach according to their interests and particular circumstances in each case.
