The present text is the updated version, dated November 24, 2000, of the Regulations Implementing the Inter-Cantonal Convention on the Control of Medicines.
The earlier version (dated November 25, 1999) of the Regulations Implementing the Inter-Cantonal Convention on the Control of Medicines was notified to WTO under WTO Notification IP/N/1/CHE/2 dated August 12, 2003.
The notification by Switzerland to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'Art. 10.3 and 10.4: protection of the first applicant pursuant to Art. 39.3 of the TRIPS Agreement.'
'Art. 34: Persons effecting controls on medicines and their manufacture are subject to professional secrecy. N.B.: Provisions concerning the mandatory professional secrecy of natural or legal persons, employees and officials, and the safeguarding of industrial or business secrets are common in most laws and regulations. It was not thought necessary to cite them here.'
