Pakistan Penal Code contains provisions related to all offences charged in Pakistan. The code has, inter alia, provisions related to offences committed by using false and counterfeited trademarks. Section 478 defines the trademark, section 480 explains the false trademark, section 482 and 483 pertains to the punishment on using a false trademark and counterfeiting a trademark respectively. Section 485 pertains to offence and punishment of making or possession of any instrument for counterfeiting a trademark and section 486 has provisions on offence and punishment of selling goods marked with a counterfeit trademark.
