The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides basic rights and freedoms, including freedom of speech and creativity.'
The Constitution recognizes the rights of citizens to private property (Articles 6 & 26); guarantees the freedom of creative activities (Articles 19(2) & 20(1)), and protects historical and cultural heritage (Article 37).

This consolidated version of the Constitution takes into account amendments up to Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 254-111 of May 21, 2007.
