The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides basic rights and freedoms, including freedom of speech and creativity.
The Constitution recognizes the rights of citizens to private property (Articles 6 & 26); guarantees the freedom of creative activities (Articles 19(2) & 20(1)), and protects historical and cultural heritage (Article 37).

This consolidated version of the Constitution takes into account amendments up to Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 254-III of May 21, 2007(see Articles 2, 5, 15, 16, 41-44, 46, 47, 50-59, 61-64, 67, 68, 70-72, 74, 75, 81, 82, 84, 86, 87, 89, 91 & 94-1 for the amendments).
