These Order, issued pursuant to sections 90(1) and 124(3) of the Patents Act 1977, make amendments to the Patents (Convention Countries) Order 2007 in order to fulfill the international obligations of the United Kingdom as a member if the World Trade Organisation (“WTO”.).
In particular, article 2 of this Order declares Cape Verde as a convention country for the purposes of section 5 of the Patents Act 1977.
