Notes:
The Law of the Board of Grievances (“the Law”) (promulgated by Royal Decree No. M/78 of 18 Ramadan 1428H (October 1st, 2007)), contains five chapters and 26 Articles.
Chapter One (Articles 1-3) on the Formation of the Board of Greivances; Chapter Two (Articles 4-7) on Administrative Judicial Council; Chapter Three (Articles 8-15) on Courts of the Board of Grievances; Chapter Four (Articles 16-17) on Appointment of Board Judges and their Service Affairs; Chapter Five (Articles 18-26) General Provisions.
Regarding the hierarchy of the courts, the Law provides that “the Courts of the Board of Grievances shall consist of:
1) The High Administrative Court
2) The Administrative Courts of Appeal
3) The Administrative Courts
The Administrative Judicial Council may establish other specialized courts with the approval of the King” (Chapter 3, Section 1, Article 8).
