Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks

Notification by the People's Republic of China: Withdrawal of Declaration Concerning Article 14(2)(d)

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the receipt, on July 24, 2003, of a notification of the Government of the People's Republic of China withdrawing the declaration that it made under Article 14(2)(d) of the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks of April 14, 1891, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, and amended on September 28, 1979, according to which declaration the application of that Agreement was limited to marks registered from the date on which the accession of the People's Republic of China entered into force (see Madrid Notification No. 41, of July 4, 1989).
