Declaration of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland concerning the application of the Appendix to the Paris Act (1971)
The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the Paris Act of the above Convention, has the honor to notify him that, referring to Article VI (1)(ii) of the Appendix to the said Act, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has declared that it admits the application of the Appendix to works of which it is the country of origin by countries which have made a declaration under Article VI (1)(i) of the Appendix or a notification under Article I of the Appendix.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article VI (2) of the said Appendix, this declaration, made in writing, became effective from the date of its deposit, that is, from September 27, 1971.
