From September 9 to 11, 2026, WIPO holds the third Global Research Experts Meeting (GREM) in Turin, Italy. For the first time, WIPO is organizing the GREM in partnership with the European Policy for Intellectual Property (EPIP) Association, as part of the 2026 EPIP Annual Conference. The meeting brings together economists, researchers, policy experts, and practitioners from around the world to advance women’s participation in innovation, creativity, and intellectual property (IP). GREM supports WIPO’s commitment, under its Intellectual Property and Gender Action Plan (IPGAP), to strengthen the evidence base on women’s participation in innovation and IP through data collection, analysis, and research. Participants present new research, data, and policy approaches that expand opportunities for women innovators, creators, entrepreneurs, and researchers across the IP ecosystem. Discussions cover methods and indicators to measure women’s participation in IP, ways to strengthen funding and commercialization for IP-based ventures led by women, and the role of data in shaping evidence-based policy. Previous editions: GREM 2025, GREM 2024.
