Name: David Harris WIPO is being into widespread discredit by its abusive and prejudiced resolution system. The figure of 85% settlement in favour of plaintiff complainants and the nature of the judgements so far indicates a sad but predictable bias towards the interests of commercial groups. This is at the expense of the private individual and consumer who suffers under rules twisted to give the results companies wish. This behaviour is overbearing officious and inequitable and in my view (as an IP lawyer) is vulnerable to effective legal challenge. I doubt if you wish to hear more from an advocate who has the interests of non-corporates users at heart, I realise this consultation process is also a sham but I am willing to discuss it further if you wish. |
