Name: David Deephanphongs Organization: Enikia Position: Engineer The WIPO is already much too willing to transfer domain names - witness the Corinthians.com debacle. Any changes to the WIPO guidelines should restrict the ability to transfer domains, not increase it. The new guidelines will make it too likely that a domain name can be taken away, since the WIPO covers so many countries, essentially any combination of letters will be somebody's name, tradename, or geographical term. The WIPO needs to be seen as a fair judgement body, and not an easy way to get a domain name you want. |
