Name: Javier Frias Organization: About.com Position: Sr Network Engineer/ UNIX Admin Don't you think there's a reason why big corporations are using choosing you over other mediaries for domain disputes? you;ve been siding too often with the plaintiffs, in cases where the line is EXTREMELY vague... I mean, crew.com? does that imply jcrew ? also, personal names. If some one has a personal site, and their name happens to be the same as a famous person, does that warran their domain take away? There's points where you have to draw the line, and in the internet, it's very hard to do so, specially since it's such a global enviroment. But setting standards in which big corporation or big names get prefference over generic names or phrases is not only outragous, but a VERY dangerous precedence. Hopefully you'll take more care to really look at the effects of your actions in the furture, as these have a greater inpact than you think. |
