Now Accepting Applications: Master’s Degree in IP & Innovation at the University of San Andrés

The Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property and Innovation (MIPI), jointly offered by the WIPO Academy, the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) of Argentina and the University of San Andrés in Buenos Aires is currently accepting applications until December 10, 2021. The MIPI is the only WIPO Joint Master’s Program offered entirely in Spanish.

The distance learning phase of the upcoming edition will take place from February 1 to March 30, 2022, which will be followed by a residential phase at the University of San Andrés starting on May 10, 2022. The residential phase might be held virtually depending on the sanitary measures at that time arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

What is covered during the MIPI?

The MIPI program focuses on innovation and sustainable development in Latin America drawing on international aspects of intellectual property (IP) through a range of topics including:

  • Technology transfer;
  • IP policies;
  • Internet policies and governance;
  • IP for entrepreneurs and SMEs; and
  • IP in health and agricultural innovation.

How to apply?

To enroll in the MIPI, please complete the online application forms on both the University of San Andrés portal and the WIPO eLearning Center. A limited numbers of scholarships are available on a competitive basis for qualified candidates. Only selected candidates for the program will be informed.
