Ordinance on Certain Rights Regarding Intellectual Property (IPO), Liechtenstein

Year of Version 1996 Dates Entry into force: March 14, 1996 Adopted: January 30, 1996 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body, Patents (Inventions), Trademarks, Geographical Indications, Layout Designs of Integrated Circuits Notes The notification by Liechtenstein to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The Ordinance is intended to clarify and amend the intellectual property laws, where required by the provisions of the TRIPS Agreement (mainly Copyright and Layout-Designs).
Articles 2-14 refer to the protection of computer programs and other related rights, etc.
Articles 15-18 refer to the acquisition and protection of topographies.
In matters of patent law the Principality of Liechtenstein and Switzerland are a common territory of protection.'
