Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks

Ratification of the Stockholm Act by the Kingdom of Denmark: Application to the Faroe Islands

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, referring to his notification dated February 4, 1970 (Nice Notification No. 9), concerning the ratification by the Kingdom of Denmark of the Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks of June 15, 1957, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, has the honor to notify him of the declaration deposited by the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark in which the said ratification applies also to the Faroe Islands.

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 14 of the said Agreement and to the provisions of Article 24(3)(a) of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, this application takes effect three months after the date of this notification, that is, on October 28, 1972.
