Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works

Notification deposited by the Arab Republic of Egypt concerning Articles II and III of the Appendix to the Paris Act (1971)

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on March 12, 1990, of a notification by which it refers to the deposit, on March 2, 1977, of its instrument of accession to the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of September 9, 1886, as revised at Paris on July 24, 1971, and declares that it will avail itself of the faculty provided for in Article II and the faculty provided for in Article III of the Appendix to the said Convention as so revised.

In accordance with Article I (2)(b) of the said Appendix, the declaration of the Arab Republic of Egypt is effective until the expiration of a period of ten years from October 10, 1984, that is until October 10, 1994.
