Call for Expression of Interest (EOI) relating to the Invitation to Bid (ITB) N° PCD/07/59

Volume Purchase Agreement for the World-Wide Provision of IT Equipment Under the WIPO Technical Assistance and Cooperation Activities

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is an intergovernmental organization with its headquarters in Geneva. It is one of the 16 United Nations specialized agencies and is responsible for promoting the protection of intellectual property throughout the world, including the administration of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), and also the international registration of marks.
 
WIPO is about to issue an Invitation To Bid in order to select a supplier for the provision of Information Technology (IT) equipment (servers, desktops computers, scanners, laptops, network printers, software and peripherals) within its Cooperation for Development activities via a five-year Volume Purchase Agreement (VPA).
 
Only well-known proposed brands with world wide after sales support including maintenance and spare parts only will be considered.
 
The purpose of this call for EOI is to identify eligible suppliers who can potentially fulfill the requirements. This EOI does not constitute an invitation to tender. Only suppliers deemed qualified by WIPO will receive the invitation to tender.
 
Any interested company wishing to participate in the prequalification procedure is invited to download the electronic version of the questionnaire [ DOC] and to return it duly completed and signed to the following address on or before August 24, 2007:

WIPO will be the sole judge as to the preselection of the companies. The selection will take into account the answers to the questionnaire according to the following criteria:
 
a) - The firm’s qualification and financial stability.
b) - Willingness to guarantee transparent price conditions for the duration of the contract.
c) - References to similar contract with other UN Organizations.
