The Inter-regional Seminar was organized by WIPO, Division for Certain Countries in Europe and Asia (DCEA) and Building Respect for IP Division, in cooperation with the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI).
The objective of the Symposium was to present and approve the final draft version of the WIPO Tool on Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) in Countries in Transition, as well as adressing the issues of promotion and follow-up activities.
The Symposium was attended by senior law enforcement officials, such as representatives of the customs, police and market surveillance inspectors from the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. At the invitation of AGEPI two representatives from State IP Office of China (SIPO) were present having an observer status.
