Regional experts meeting on economic issues of IP, Jerusalem, Israel, September 11 and 12, 2012

The Inter-regional Seminar was organized by WIPO, Division for Certain Countries in Europe and Asia (DCEA), in cooperation with the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and (UNECE) and the Israel Patent Office (ILPO).

The objective of the event was to exchange experience and discuss the first draft of the WIPO Tool on Economic issues of IPRs, as well as the follow-up activities.

The Workshop was attended by several experts from the DCEA region (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Russian Federation, Republic of Moldova, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine).

This was the first event co-organized by WIPO and UNECE in the frames of the recently approved report on consultations between two Organizations and Plan of activities.

WIPO was represented by Mr. Ilya Gribkov, Program Officer, DCEA, and Mr. Evgeniy Sesitsky, Consultant, DCEA.
