Name: Leslie M. Barstow III Organization: VR1 Entertainment Position: System Administrator I must respectfully dissent with your proposed name arbitration changes. In fact, I would respectfully submit that the current arbitration rules by which you abide are too broad. Small companies which sell distinct products must not be banned from using their names because a widely-recognized corporation did not get to the domain first; your tradename policy would do just that. Additionally, your new policy regarding personal names will inevitably create policy conflicts between peoples' names and tradenames - e.g. the McDonald family vs. the McDonald corporation, or the Barstow famliy vs. Barstow, CA. Please take some time to rethink your policies - your current track record is recieving much criticism in the involved Internet community (i.e. the tech-savvy people who run it), and such criticism from an informed community should indicate that you are doing something wrong. Sincerely, Les Barstow |
