I think that the committee should realize that the mechanisms necessary to
protect intellectual property rights have been in place for a long time.
The only step needed now is to place domain names in the same category as
any other commercial trademark. This would place minimal strain on the
greatest number of people and companies and would have the added benefit
that we wouldn't need an entirely new branch of law to cover any disputes.
