Year of Version 2004 Dates Published: January 28, 2004 Issued: January 24, 2004 Type of Text Main IP Laws   Subject Matter Patents (Inventions), Utility Models Subject Matter (secondary) Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body Notes Law No. 1 of 2004 on Patents and Utility Models shall come into effect as of the next day following the publication thereof in the Official Gazette (January 28, 2004) , in accordance with its Article 46. The notification by Bahrain to the WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states: 'The Law defined patents, utility models and procedures of the patent application and granting and convey ownership and protection of the period between the license to exploit the patent and compulsory licensing and enforcement of rights arising from patent invalidity.'
