The notification by Liechtenstein to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The Law regulates the existence and acquisition of right to patent, national and international registration. Article 40a concerns compulsory license for semiconductor-technology in cases of unfair competition. Articles 66-86 refer to sanctions of civil and penal law. Article 68 provides for the protection of secrecy.
It is to be noted that in matters of patent law the Principality of Liechtenstein and Switzerland constitute a common territory of protection.'
