Details Details Year of Version 2013 Dates Amended up to: September 30, 2012 Assented: April 22, 2004 Type of Text Other Texts Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), Other Notes This consolidated version of the Library and Archives of Canada Act was amended on September 30, 2012 (see sections 53 and 57 for the amendments). The consolidated Act contains copyright‑relevant provisions in two distinct ways: (1) it includes direct amendments to the Copyright Act, enacted through the Act’s consequential amendments, including later changes reflected in sections 53 and 57; and (2) several of its operational provisions authorize Library and Archives Canada (LAC) to acquire, preserve, reproduce, and provide access to copyrighted materials as part of its statutory mandate.
