This session will explore the unauthorized use of copyright-protected songs to train generative artificial intelligence models, aiming to produce music through the utilization of vocal clones (digital replicas of an artist’s voice). We will identify the main areas of copyright infringement associated with this practice and examine the enforcement approaches adopted by the music industry in response to this evolving landscape.
