This webinar discusses the rights data and identifiers for musical works and rights holders. This includes, in particular, the International Standard Work Code (ISWC; ISO 15707:2001), which was designed as a system of assigning a globally unique identifier code to musical works and is made available via the ISWC-Network, a public portal made available by CISAC to facilitate the search of works and their allocated ISWCs in accordance with the ISWC standard. The webinar also features the International Party Identifier (IPI), administered by the Swiss CMO SUISA, aiming at the global unique identification of a rights holder acting across multiple creation classes, assuming different roles, and owning all rights.
