The objective of this webinar was to provide a high-level overview of rights data and identifiers for performers, presented by the Societies’ Council for the Collective Management of Performers’ Rights (SCAPR). This includes the International Performers Database (IPD), which aims at identifying individual performers in sound recordings and audio-visual works through a unique identifier (IPN), as well as the VRDB system, which provides a centralized system to enable members to more efficiently and accurately identify recordings and works and exchange the performers’ information necessary to properly run distributions locally.
