Year of Version 2020 Dates Entry into force: January 1, 2015 Adopted: July 5, 2014 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes This consolidated version of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 235-V of July 5, 2014, on Administrative Offences takes into account amendments up to 'Law No. 262-VI of July 3, 2019, on Amendments to Certain Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Development of Financial Market, Microfinance Activity and Taxation', which entered into force on different dates.

Paragraph 5 of the said amending Law No. 262-VI of July 3, 2019, which entered into force on January 1, 2020 introduced amendments to the following provisions of this consolidated version:
- Article 47 (items 3, 5 amended; item 6-1 supplemented)
- Article 210-1 (added);
- Article 211 (title amended; items 1 & 2 amended; item 3-1 added);
- Article 211-1 (item 3 amended, items 3-1 to 3-3 added);
- Article 211-2 (items 1 & 2 amended);
- Article 212 (title amended; items 1 & 2 amended; item 3 deleted);
- Article 213 (amended);
- Article 215 (deleted);
- Article 220 (amended);
- Articles 223 & 232 (titles amended);
- Articles 226 to 228 (amended);
- Articles 239, 247, 252 (amended);
- Article 724 (amended); Article 724-1 (heading supplemented);
- Article 804 (amended and item 2-1 added); Article 810 (amended).

The consolidated Code provides administrative liability for illegal use of trademarks, service marks and appellations of origin (see Section 2, Special Part, Chapter 14, Article 158). It also contains provisions relating to the protection of commercial secrets and imposes administrative sanctions for the disclosure thereof (see Section 1, Chapter 2, Article 16; Section 2, Special Part, Chapter 14, Articles 175, item 1, subitem 7), 185, and Chapter 15, Article 240).
