Notes
This consolidated version of the Code incorporates amendments up to Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 504-V of April 21, 2016, which came into force on May 7, 2016 (see Section 2, Chapter 24, Articles 415 & 425; Section 3, Chapter 36, Articles 701, 715 & 715-1; and Section 4, Chapter 41, Article 804 of the consolidated Code for the amendments).
The notification by Kazakhstan to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'[The consolidated Code] provides administrative liability for illegal use of trademarks, service marks and appellations of origin [see Section 2, Chapter 14, Article 158].'
It also contains provisions relating to the protection of commercial secrets and imposes administrative sanctions for the disclosure thereof (Section 1, Chapter 2, Article 16; Section 2, Chapter 14, Articles 175(1)(7), 185, and Chapter 15, Article 240).
