Year of Version 2018 Dates Entry into force: August 10, 2018 Issued: June 18, 2018 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Patents (Inventions), Utility Models, Industrial Designs, Layout Designs of Integrated Circuits, Plant Variety Protection, Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Notes The notification by Cuba to WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'[This Resolution] establishes the procedure enabling authors, inventors and breeders to receive a share of the profits made by the entity through the exploitation of a creation obtained through a legal labour relationship or the provision of services, which has resulted in the issuance of a patent or registration that is in force in the territory of exploitation and generates economic benefits.'

The Resolution was issued by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment entered into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette on August 10, 2018, in accordance to the Second Part of the said Resolution.
