Year of Version 2018 Dates Entry into force: September 2, 2018 Adopted: August 6, 2018 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Undisclosed Information (Trade Secrets), Other Notes The Law of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 88 of August 6, 2014 was published in the Official Gazette on August 17, 2018, and entered into force on September 2, 2018, 15 days after its date of its publication.

Among other provisions, Article 4 of the said Law No. 88 introduce the following amendments to Chapter III of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 27 of March 30, 1998, on Commercial Secrets:
- Article 1, paragraph 2 of section 2, which provides for the granting to 'the financial intelligence unit' the right of access to commercial secrets;
- Article 2 where the words “authorized body for counteraction to legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and financing of terrorism” are replaced by the words“ financial intelligence unit”; and the words “unless otherwise provided by the agreement” are replaced by the words “unless otherwise provided by the agreement or legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of counteraction to legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and financing of terrorism'.
