Year of Version 2009 Dates Entry into force: April 10, 1998 Adopted: March 30, 1998 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Undisclosed Information (Trade Secrets) Notes The Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Commercial Secrets defines the legal framework for the protection of commercial secrets and the prevention of unfair competition in economic activities.
This Law is divided in 3 chapters: general provisions (Chapter I); subjects and objects of a commercial secret (Chapter II); and protection of a commercial secret and access to it (Chapter III).

Law No. 192 of June 26, 2009 amends paragraph 2 of Article 11 and paragraph 1 of Article 12 in this revised version of the Law, supplementing the provisions concerning access to a commercial secret for the authorized body on combating legalization (laundering) of criminal proceeds and financing of terrorism.
