The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments and has the honor to notify the deposit by the Government of the Republic of Peru, on July 8, 2026, of its instrument of ratification of the WIPO Treaty on Intellectual Property, Genetic Resources and Associated Traditional Knowledge, adopted at Geneva on May 24, 2024. The instrument contained the following declaration:
- "With reference to Article 15(4) of the WIPO Treaty on Intellectual Property, Genetic Resources and Associated Traditional Knowledge, of May 24, 2024, in respect of the entry into force of the amendments to the Treaty adopted by the Assembly, the Republic of Peru declares that it will promptly initiate its respective internal procedures in order to accept the aforementioned amendments before they enter into force".
The date of entry into force of the said Treaty will be notified when the required number of ratifications or accessions is reached in accordance with Article 17 of the Treaty.
