C The Trade Mark (Amendment) Regulations of 1990 which were issued by the Council of Ministers under sections 38 and 39 Trade Marks Law jCap. 268 and Laws 63 of 1962 and 69 of 1971 and were laid before the House of Representatives were ratified and are published by the Official Gazette of the Republic.

THE TRADE MARKS LAW (CAP.268 AND LAWS OF 1962 TO 1990)

Regulations under sections 38 and 39

The Council of Ministers in exercising the powers vested in it under sections 38 and 39 of the Trade Marks Law issues the following regulations.

1. The present Regulations shall be referred to as the Trade Marks (Amendment) Regulations of 1990 and shall be read together with the Trade Marks Regulations of 1951 to 1984 (which henceforth shall be referred to as "the basic regulations") and the basic regulations and the present Regulations shall be referred to together as the Trade Marks Regulations of 1951 to 1990.

2. The basic regulations are amended with the addition of the words "or services" after the word "goods" wherever is

found.

3. The First Schedule of the basic regulations is amended with the addition to the column "subject or procedure" of the words "or services" after the word "goods" wherever is found.

4. The Fourth Schedule of the basic regulations is amended as follows:

(a) With the addition to the title of the Appendix of the words or services" after the words "classifications of goods ".

(b) With the addition, after the title of the Appendix of -the following phrase "Part I Goods".

(c) With the addition after the end of Class 34 of the following new Part:
