AN ACT TO AMEND THE INDUSTRIAL DESIGNS
ACT, NO. 2 OF 1998.

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Commonwealth of
Dominica as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the – Short title.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGNS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2008.

2008 INDUSTRIAL DESIGNS (AMENDMENT) ACT 15

Interpretaion.
Act No. 2 of 1998.

Amendment of section 2 of the Act.

Amendment of section 14 of the Act.

Amendment of section of 16 of the Act.

Amendment of section 22 of the Act.

  1. In this Act the Industrial Designs Act 1998 is referred to as “the Act”.
  2. Section 2 of the Act is amended in the definition of Registrar by deleting the words which follow the word “Property”.
  3. Section 14 of the Act is amended by renumbering subsections (3), (4) and (5) as subsections (2), (3) and (4).
  4. Section 16 of the Act is amended in subsection (1) by deleting the word “application” and substituting the word “applicant”.
  5. Section 22 of the Act is amended by deleting the words “who has been enrolled to practice in the Courts of Dominica” and substituting the words “who is resident and practicing in Dominica”.

Passed in the House of Assembly this 14th day of October, 2008.
