Details Details Year of Version 2022 Dates Entry into force: June 22, 2022 Signature: June 11, 2022 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Notes Federal Law No. 176-FZ of June 11, 2022 amends Article 1274 of the Civil Code to allow the creation, distribution, and cross-border exchange of copyrighted works in special formats (e.g., Braille) for blind, visually impaired, and otherwise print-disabled persons without author consent or payment, while requiring attribution. Libraries and government-approved organizations may provide free access, including via digital networks, in accordance with the Marrakesh Treaty, while further reproduction in other formats remains prohibited.
