Year of Version 2022 Dates Amended up to: June 9, 2022 Entry into force: November 3, 2017 Published: November 3, 2017 Promulgated: October 13, 2017 Type of Text IP-related Laws   Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Subject Matter (secondary) Traditional Cultural Expressions Notes This consolidated version of Law No. 21.045 on the Creation of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage takes into account amendments up to "Law 21180 on the Digital Transformation of the State", which was published in Chile's Official Gazette on November 11, 2019 and entered into force onJune 9, 2022. The consolidated Law 21.045 contains provisions relating to the promotion and protection of copyright and related rights, including the tradtional cultural expressions (see Chapter I, Title I, Paragraph 1°, Article 1, point number 7; Paragraph 2°, Article 3, point number 1, points number 4 to 6 and point number 10, point number 14; Title IV, Paragraph 1°, Article 16, point number 14, etc.). The consolidated Law 21.045 inter alia introduced amendments to the following Laws: - Article 45 under Chapter III (Legal Amendments) replaced the content of the second paragraph of Article 76 and Article 90 of Law No. 17. 336 on Intellectual Property. - Article 48 under Chappter III replaced the content of Article 4, and letter 6 of Article 6 of Law No. 19.227 on the Creation of the National Fund for the Promotion of Books and Reading. - Article 60 under Chapter III replaced the content of Article 4 of Law No. 19,166, which amended Law No. 17.336, on Intellectual Property.
