Year of Version 2021 Dates Assented: August 13, 2021 Enacted: August 13, 2021 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Geographical Indications, Trademarks, Plant Variety Protection, Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Notes The Tribunals Reforms Act, 2021 (Act No. 33 of 2021) entered into force with retrospective effect on April 4, 2021 (see section 1(2) under Chapter I of the this Act). The following chapters of the said Act introduce amendments to the following laws relating to intellectual property rights: - Chapter V on pages 5 to 8 referring to the "Amendments to the Copyright Act, 1957"; - Chapter XVI on pages 10 to 11 referring to the "Amendments to the Trade Marks Act, 1999"; - Chapter XVII on pages 11 to 12 referring to the "Amendments to the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999"; - Chapter XVIII on pages 12 to 13 referring to the "Amendments to the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers' Rights Act, 2001".
