Year of Version 2020 Dates Entry into force: January 1, 2018 Adopted: December 26, 2017 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes This consolidated version of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 123-VI of December 26, 2017, on Customs Regulation incorporates amendments up to 'Law No. 262-VI of July 3, 2019, on Amendments to Certain Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Development of Financial Market, Microfinance Activity and Taxation', which entered into force on different dates.

Paragraph 10 under Article 1 of this amending Law No. 262-VI of July 3, 2019, which entered into force on January 1, 2020 amended paragraph 2 under item 1, Article 102 under Chapter 10, Section 2 of this consolidated version of the Code on Customs Regulation, where the words 'the authorized body for regulation, control and supervision of financial market and financial organizations' were replaced by the words 'with the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan'.

This consolidated Code contains the following provisions on the protection of intellectual property rights:
- Section 1, Chapter 2, Article 12; Chapter 6, Articles 64 67 & 73;
- Section 3, Chapter 18, Articles 176 & 177; Chapter 19, Article 194 & 199;
- Section 6, Chapter 53, Articles 458-464;
- Section 8, Article 568.
