Year of Version 2017 Dates Amended up to: January 1, 2017 Signature: December 18, 2006 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), Industrial Property Notes This consolidated version of Federal Law No. 231-FZ incorporates all the amendments up to “Federal Law No. 431-FZ of December 30, 2015, on Geodesy, Cartography and Dimensional Data, and on Amendments to Certain Laws of the Russian Federation”, which entered into force on January 1, 2017, in accordance with its Article 32, except for Article 28, paragraph 3, which entered into force on December 30, 2015, on the day of its official publication on the website of Official Internet-Portal of Legal Information (http://www.pravo.gov.ru).

Article 31, paragraph 6 of the said Federal Law No. 431-FZ provides for the repeal of Article 24 of this consolidated version, relating to Article 11 of 'Federal Law No. 209-FZ of December 26, 1995, on Geodesy and Cartography', on the exclusive economic rights of the authors to the geodetic and cartographic activities.
