Year of Version 2006 Dates Issued: November 1, 2006 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Trademarks, Trade Names Notes The Regulation is issued by the Decree of 2006 of the Minister of Trade and Industry to implement the Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 67 of 2006). It contains provisions regarding the obligations of the producers and importers to state on the products the names and the country of origin of goods, their trade names and trademarks (Article 11(1), (2) & (3)), and not to present misleading and deceptive data on the goods or on labels attached to the goods (Article 13); the obligations of the suppliers and services providers to state their names and trademarks on all the correspondences and documents issued by them in the course of dealing or contracting with the consumers (Article 14(1) & (4)), and not to make misleading advertisement about certification marks, trademarks, statements, or logos of the products (Article 17(6)(7)).
Part IV (Articles 29 to 53) of the Regulation provides for the submission of complaints of consumers and consumers protection societies, and the procedures for examination of complaints and the processing of complaints by the Consumer Protection Agency (CPA).
