Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a growing One Health challenge affecting human, animal and environmental health. Wastewater contributes to the spread of AMR but also offers opportunities for surveillance, treatment and risk reduction.
This webinar launches WIPO’s new report, Innovation, Intellectual Property and Technologies for Addressing Antimicrobial Resistance in Wastewater, developed in collaboration with AMR Industry Alliance, ARIES Institute Brazil and East, Central and Southern African Health Community. The report explores how innovation, technology and intellectual property (IP) can support efforts to address AMR risks in wastewater.
The webinar targets policymakers, national AMR focal points; government ministries; researchers; innovators; industry; health, agriculture and environment professionals; IP specialists; development partners; and relevant international and regional organizations.
