This session delves into the complex copyright infringement issues that are prevalent in the metaverse. These may include unauthorized copying and distribution of digital content, creation of derivative works, and unauthorized use of copyrighted material in the online environment.

We will also explore some of the challenges that arise when it comes to enforcing copyright in the metaverse, including the localization of copyright infringement. We will provide an overview of the principles and rules governing the localization of copyright infringement in cross-border situations and examine their applicability in the metaverse.

This webinar is organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) of the Republic of Korea.
