You pay the following WIPO fees when you apply for an international trademark registration under WIPO’s Madrid System (all fees are in just one currency – Swiss francs (CHF)):

  • Basic fee – 653 CHF for a black and white mark; 903 CHF for a mark in color;
  • Standard fees:
    • A “complementary fee” of 100CHF for each Member; and
    • A “supplementary fee” of 100 CHF for each class of goods and services over three.
  • ...Or – in some cases – “individual fees” instead of “standard fees”.

Warning! We can only process your application for an international trademark registration once you have paid all necessary fees.

  • A few Offices of Origin let you pay fees in your local currency.
  • There is a 90% reduction in the basic fee for applications from least-developed countries.
