Year of Version 2015 Dates Enacted: September 7, 1998 Passed: July 28, 1998 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Other, Trademarks Notes This consolidated version of the Consumer Protection (Price and Supplies Control) Act 1998 (Act No. 12 of 1998) takes into account amendments up to Regulations No. 115 of 2016 (Government Notice-GN No. 115/2016). Section 7(4) under Part II entitled "Price Control" of the Consumer Protection (Price and Supplies Control) Act 1998 provides that the Minister of Industry and Commerce may prescribe the form or color of a label indicating the price of goods or any distinctive mark which such label shall bear. Section 25 (b) under Part IV of this consolidated Act provides for the seizure and detention of goods of which any representation is false or misleading.
