Year of Version 2020 Dates Amended up to: April 1, 2020 Promulgated: April 13, 1959 Type of Text Main IP Laws   Subject Matter Industrial Designs Subject Matter (secondary) Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body, Patents (Inventions), Utility Models Notes This consolidated version of Design Act (Act No. 125 of April 13, 1959) takes into account amendments up to the Act on the Partial Revision of the Patent Act and Other Acts (Act No. 3 of May 17, 2019), which entered into force on different dates (April 1, 2020; October 1, 2020, etc.). The said amending Act No. 3 of May 17, 2019 introduced amendments to Article 2(1) under Chapter I; and Article 8-2 under Chapter II of this consolidated version. The amendments to the said articles, which entered into force on April 1, 2020, provide for the protection of building designs and interior designs.
