The Law on Electronic Communications and Transactions was promulgated on November 28, 2018 by the King (Amir) of the Kingdom of Bahrain by means of Decree-Law No. 54 of 2018 (also called 'Amicir Decree No. 54 of 2018' or 'Legislative Decree No. 54 of 2018').
This Law entered into force on February 1, 2019, on the first day of the month that followed sixty (60) days after the date of its publication in the Official Gazette on November 29, 2018, in accordance with Article 4 of Decree-Law No. 54 of 2018.
The English version is intended for reference purposes only. In case of discrepancy, the Arabic version shall prevail.
